The Singing Dune is a unique natural phenomenon in the territory of Altyn Emel National Park. The dune is located on the right bank of the Ili River, 50 km from the village of Basshi. It takes about an hour to drive off-road. The height of the Singing Dune reaches 150 meters in height and 3 km in length. It is a mountain of fine sand, which during the movement creates "singing". Since spring, the Dune wakes up and gives its guests with singing. Locals have shaped many legends for this rare occurrence.

In the early morning, heading to the Dune, you can often meet the Turkmen Kulans and Gazelles. They descend from the mountains to a watering hole.
