Altyn Emel National Park is where the mountains meet the desert, where the sands sing and where, according to legend, Genghis Khan himself found his last refuge.

Its territory is spread over 500 hectares, where there are 4 types of landscapes from mountainous to sandy.

Thanks to the unique flora and fauna of the area, as well as its outstanding historical and natural sites, Altyn Emel Park has been claiming the title of UNESCO heritage since 2002

Listen to the song of the desert. The singing dune Altyn Emel was created by the winds in the form of a crescent moon 120 m high and up to 1.5 km long. When the west wind blows, a sound reminiscent of organ music is heard around - hence the dune got its name. This effect provokes the friction of the sand, creating an amazing atmosphere.

Visit Bes-Shatyr. Saka mounds appeared here before our era, striking today with their scale and wealth. Among the 31 graves, archaeologists found a royal tomb, in which they found gold jewelry, weapons and expensive utensils, designed to serve the ruler in the afterlife.

See Altyn Emel mountains. Just do not confuse them, because there are Aktau mountains in Altyn Emel - chalk rocks resembling lunar landscapes, and Katutau mountains - "Ice" created by cooled lava on the site of two volcanoes. Red, pink, green, and pale blue colors dominate the Aktau stones, while mystical gloom fills the Katutau stones.
