6-Day Kyrgyzstan Tour Itinerary

Day 1
Bishkek – Orto-Tokoy – Song-Kul Lake
Morning: Depart from Bishkek at 8 AM, stopping at Orto-Tokoy Reservoir for a scenic break.
Midday: Lunch in Kochkor, followed by a visit to a felt-making workshop, where you’ll see traditional Kyrgyz crafts in action.
Afternoon: Travel to Song-Kul Lake, a remote alpine lake at 3,016m altitude, known for its pristine beauty and nomadic pastures.
Evening: Dinner and overnight stay in yurts by the lake.
Day 2
Song-Kul – Bokonbaevo – Aksai Canyon
Morning: Free time at Song-Kul Lake – enjoy the serene landscapes and meet local shepherds.
Midday: Lunch in Kochkor, then drive to Bokonbaevo, a town on the south shore of Issyk-Kul Lake.
Afternoon: Visit Aksai Canyon, a hidden gem with stunning red rock formations.
Evening: Eagle hunting demonstration with a local Berkutchi, followed by dinner and an overnight stay in a yurt camp in the canyon.
Day 3
Bokonbaevo – Skazka Canyon – Barskoon Waterfalls – Karakol
Morning: Hike to a panoramic viewpoint before breakfast.
Midday: Travel towards Karakol, stopping at Skazka (Fairy Tale) Canyon for a scenic hike and at Barskoon Waterfalls, nestled in a lush alpine valley.
Afternoon: Lunch in Barskoon, then continue to Jeti-Oguz Gorge, famous for its Seven Bulls rock formations and the Valley of Flowers.
Evening: Dinner with a Dungan family and an overnight stay in Karakol.
Day 4
Karakol – Altyn Arashan Hot Springs
Morning: Explore Karakol Gorge, surrounded by pine forests and snow-capped peaks.
Midday: Lunch in Karakol, then travel to Altyn Arashan (or Kara-Tash Hot Springs in winter) for a relaxing soak in natural mineral waters.

Day 5
Karakol – Chong-Kemin

Chong-Kemin – Burana Tower – Bishkek
